I write ! Therefore I am!

I am a 69 Year old/born in Trinidad in the West Indies/Came to the U.S. in September of 1965 /Served Three Years in the Army/got a Bronze Star a couple of oak leaf clusters added to it and Purple Heart//Served In Viet Nam /worked on Wall St. for a couple of years/Smith Barney, Newburger Loeb, Manufacturer’s Hanover, graduated from the Yale New Haven Hospital program for Radiation Therapists/Worked as a Radiation Therapist in Poughkeepsie N.Y./Hartford Hospital in Conn./and at the Cancer Care center here in Florida. I am an Avid WindSurfer/Ex-Skydiver/Ceasless storyteller incorrigible and unrepentant/ I had my first piece published in the “Nation” magazine when I was sixteen years old, and used to cut thru Derek Wolcott’s(The Poet Laureate 1992) yard as a shortcut home. I was a professional Musician (Congas and Bass) with the most successful bands in the land at the time, for all my Middle and High School Years/Won a Silver Poet Award some time back and am now working on a book of Poetry. My first book is “Deadly! Deadly serious Nonsense and comical Calamity. My little cottage is on an inlet on the Gulf of Mexico about eighteen feet from the water’s edge, and twelve miles from Books-a-Million. I really love writing poetry mainly because I am too lazy to write books, but love to share stories and Philosophize while turning Meditations and musings into snapshot storytelling. I have four children and five Grand-children ALL as rebellious as I was when I was sixteen
